It has been a long couple of days. It was after 7:30 yesterday and nearly 7 tonight but the time I got back to the hotel. Still we are making significant progress towards finalising the software. The new spreadsheet to collect data at the sites is more or less finalised after several revisions and my program can now read a days worth of these in a few seconds. A great time saver for Panu (on the left) who would take hours to transfer the data manually. Unfortunately this has lead to yet another revision of the database and consequent rewriting of edit screens reports and calculations. It seems ironic that it takes so long to get things right but I guess the clients generally don't know what they want until they see what they get and whether it works for them.It was sunny and hot yesterday, so I believe, although I really only had a few minutes here and there outside. As I said, it was late when I got back and I spent most of the evening with Chris and Kieran in the canteen watching soccer and rugby on the TV and having a few drinks.

This morning, as usual I was woken up early. Next door put on their TV and started talking about 5:30 so that was the end of my sleep. I eventually got up around 7 and took advantage of the sunshine to re-photograph the temple being build across the field from the hotel and the nearest river, although that as you can see is now a series of disconnected ponds.
With clearer skies I had another shot at capturing the sunset, although by the time I left, the sun it self was behind the mountains. As we drove past the potato fields near the office, we saw quite a few fires where they were burning off.
A bit more TV tonight, a film with Morgan Freeman but I'm back in my room now, just after 9pm.
