Spencer was in Bangkok at a meeting today so Panu and I worked through the program and hopefully eliminated most of the bugs. I added a directory tree for finding the files to import and froze some of the columns in some tables that were very wide. We also discovered that you need to unhide, hidden cells in a spreadsheet before you can read them and you have to unprotect the sheet be fore you can do that. It seems to be working well. I also went through the reports just making sure they were updated with the latest changes. Still a few to do tomorrow and also updating of the documentation. It looks like coming back for a few days is a good idea. I'm sure there will be other niggles to sort out.

It was quite warm and sunny today although as usual I spent most of the day inside. I actually left before 6pm tonight and the sun was still up. There was and accident on the road back to town - not a collision but it looked like a truck had lost its load of grain. There was an article in Sunday's paper (which we got today) about those trees with the yellow flowers, which are called neem or sadao trees depending where you are. The flowers and the beans are used for cooking, and also for dyeing. They also have medicinal uses.
Tonight was soup night, where they keep a vat of soup boiling and then cook chicken or pork pieces, noodles and vegetables that you select in the vat and then pour the broth over it.

There are a lot of contractors and service personnel in the hotel. The standard dress code is coloured overalls, with the different companies having their own colours. It's a bit like tribes or gangs.Tuesday
I packed before leaving the hotel so it will just be a quick stop to change shoes and load my bags and then off to Bangkok. On the way to the office this morning I finally saw the potatoes in those fields I have been driven past over the time I've been here.
